Short version: Bizz Companion includes a Personal Companion planner and an optional Business Companion for customer follow-up. We use your information to run the app, sync your account, store your content, secure the service, improve reliability, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal or customer content.
1. Who we are
Bizz Companion is provided by Thumbeja. In this policy, "Bizz Companion," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the owner and operator of the Bizz Companion app and related web services. The main website for the service is https://bizzcompanion.thumbeja.com.

2. Information we collect
We collect different types of information depending on how you use the app, whether you create an account, and which features you choose to use.
Account information
- Name, email address, profile photo, user identifier, and sign-in provider details when you sign in with Google, Apple, email, or another supported authentication method.
- Authentication tokens and session information needed to keep you signed in securely.
- Basic account status details, such as account creation time, last sign-in time, and provider-linked identifiers.
Content you create or upload
- Journal entries, planner entries, gratitude entries, notes, goals, affirmations, reflections, and other text you save in the app.
- Vision-board images, image metadata, thumbnails, and storage paths for images you upload.
- Dates, titles, categories, moods, completion states, and other organizational details connected to your entries.
- Any information you voluntarily type into text fields, prompts, lists, notes, or planning sections.
- If you use Business Companion: business profile details, customer contact records, deals, follow-up tasks, activity notes, and editable message starters.
- If you choose device contact import: only the contact you select and the copied name, organization, phone, or email details you choose to store in your CRM record. We do not synchronize changes back to your address book.
Device, app, and usage information
- Device model, operating system, app version, language, country or region, screen characteristics, and platform details.
- Crash reports, performance data, diagnostic logs, error traces, and reliability signals.
- Analytics events, feature usage, session timing, navigation events, and high-level interaction data used to understand and improve the app.
- Advertising ID or app instance identifiers where made available by Google services, Firebase, or the operating system for analytics, attribution, fraud prevention, or measurement. We do not use this to sell your personal journal content.
Security and integrity signals
- Firebase App Check, device integrity, app integrity, abuse-prevention, and anti-fraud signals.
- Network information such as IP address, request timestamps, and service logs generated when the app communicates with backend services.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To create, authenticate, and maintain your account.
- To provide core app features, including journaling, gratitude tracking, planners, notes, vision boards, Business Companion customer follow-up, and syncing across devices.
- To schedule local follow-up reminders on your device when you choose a reminder time and permit notifications.
- To open a prepared message in WhatsApp when you select that action. In this version, Bizz Companion records that WhatsApp was opened, not that a message was sent or delivered.
- To store your text entries, images, and related data in your account.
- To display your saved content back to you and organize it by date, feature, type, or category.
- To secure the app, prevent unauthorized access, detect abuse, reduce spam, protect Firebase resources, and troubleshoot suspicious activity.
- To monitor app crashes, errors, performance, and reliability.
- To understand which features are used, improve user experience, prioritize improvements, and maintain app quality.
- To provide support, respond to requests, investigate issues, and communicate important service notices.
- To comply with laws, regulations, platform policies, lawful requests, and legal processes.
4. Firebase and Google services
Bizz Companion uses Google Firebase and related Google services to operate the app. These services may include Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Remote Config, Firebase App Check, Google Sign-In, and Google Play services.
Firebase may process identifiers, device information, app activity, diagnostics, IP addresses, crash data, and authentication information. Some information is processed by Google as an independent controller or service provider depending on the feature and legal context. You can review Google's privacy practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
5. How your content is stored
Your account content may be stored in Firebase services, including Cloud Firestore for structured entries and Firebase Storage for uploaded images. Access rules are designed so user content is scoped to the authenticated user. Even with these protections, you should avoid saving highly sensitive information that you would not want stored in a cloud service.
Uploaded images may be compressed, converted, resized, or processed to create thumbnails and optimize storage or display. The app may store both an original or processed version and a smaller preview version when needed for performance.
6. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your private journal, planner, gratitude, note, vision-board, or CRM content. We may share information in the following limited situations:
- With service providers that help us operate, host, secure, analyze, or support the app.
- With Google, Firebase, Apple, app stores, and authentication providers as required for sign-in, app distribution, analytics, diagnostics, storage, and security.
- When required by law, legal process, court order, government request, or to protect rights, safety, security, and integrity.
- In connection with a business transfer, merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate privacy protections.
- With your direction or consent, such as when you choose to share content outside the app.
7. Data retention
We keep account information and user content for as long as your account remains active or as long as needed to provide the service. Some analytics, crash, security, and backup data may be retained for a limited period after deletion requests where necessary for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or operational recovery.
When you delete content in the app, we aim to remove it from active systems within a reasonable time. Copies may remain temporarily in backups, logs, cache, or disaster recovery systems before they expire.
8. Account and data deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting support@thumbeja.com. Please contact us from the email address linked to your Bizz Companion account so we can verify ownership. If the app includes an in-app deletion option, you may also use that option.
After verification, we will delete or anonymize account data where reasonably possible, except information we are required or permitted to keep for legal, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, tax, accounting, platform-policy, or security reasons.
9. Your choices and controls
- You can choose what content you add to journals, planners, notes, gratitude entries, and vision boards.
- You can choose whether to grant photo library access. If you deny access, image upload features may not work.
- You can choose whether to grant contact access for selected-contact import and notification access for local CRM reminders. You can continue adding contacts or tasks manually without granting these permissions.
- You can manage Google or Apple account permissions through your provider account settings.
- You can delete or edit many entries directly inside the app where those controls are available.
- You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy assistance.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including authenticated access, Firebase security controls, encrypted transport, access restrictions, and monitoring for abuse or failure. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your device, account credentials, and sign-in provider secure.
11. Children and families
Bizz Companion is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. If local law requires a higher age for consent to digital services, the applicable higher age applies. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information without required consent, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
12. International processing
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than where you live, including locations where Google Firebase, cloud infrastructure, support systems, or service providers operate. Data protection laws in those locations may differ from the laws in your country.
13. Legal bases where required
Where laws such as the GDPR require a legal basis, we process personal information based on one or more of the following: performance of a contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the app, compliance with legal obligations, and protection of vital or public interests where applicable.
14. Region-specific rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or information about data sharing. For California residents, we do not sell personal information as the term is commonly understood under California privacy law. We also do not knowingly sell or share personal information of children under 16. Some analytics or advertising identifiers may be processed by Google services for measurement or attribution as described in this policy and in Google's privacy documentation.
15. Third-party links and services
The app may open external websites, app stores, provider sign-in pages, privacy pages, support links, or WhatsApp when you choose to open a prepared message. Those third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services that we do not control.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date on this page. If changes are significant, we may provide additional notice in the app, on the website, or through another appropriate method.
